Banner Blast Card

This card uses the lovely Banner Blast stamp set which I was very excited to use as it was my freebie from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. It’s only available now during Sale-a-bration and yours free when you spend $90.

So, how did I do it? I coloured the banner stamps using my Stampin’ Write markers in Marina Mist, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette and So Saffron. The flower was inked in the Rose Red and makes a nice contrast stuck on top of the Pink Pirouette banner. And of course a Rhinestone Jewel to the middle of the flower just adds that bit of sparkle. I used all the banners except for the love banner, as this card is intended as a welcome card to our new neighbours who just moved in.

Another Sale-a-bration freebie is the Banner punch which of course coordinates perfectly with the Banner Blast stamp set and makes creating the banners a breeze! I don’t have this yet so I cut out all the banners by hand. I curled the ends of the banners to give them a fluttering in the breeze look. I used a little bit of Snail adhesive to stick down the tops of the banners so they would stay in place while I used a piercing tool to pierce the holes for the thread. A little bit of hand sewing later and the card is nearly done! The hello sentiment is from the 2012 sale-a-bration stamp set Elementary Elegance and stamped in Soft Suede. All done 🙂

Sale-a-bration continues for another four and a half weeks so there’s plenty of time still to get some exclusive stamp sets and other products. There are also some fantastic products still available in the Clearance Rack, some at up to 80% off! But they’re only available while stocks last so be quick.

I’m holding my first card class on Saturday so I’m very excited and slightly nervous!
