What’s Your Type?

_WYT collageJuly has been an incredibly busy and exciting time with the launch of the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue and quite a few birthdays to make cards for.

One of the new sets in the catalogue is the What’s Your Type? stamp set which is a photopolymer set. I really like this set as it has so many uses – from background stamps to creating patterns, pictures and of course, the entire alphabet both upper and lower case!

I made some samples to show this sets versatility. The upper case alphabet and the heart pattern are reproductions of ideas from the new catalogue (that’s what it’s there for!) and the other designs are CASE’d from Pinterest.

The catalogue is filled with loads of new stamp sets, designer series paper and of course a new In Color collection for 2014-2016. These colours are really bold! I’ve used them to create the alphabets shown below. The colours are: Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss.

…………….whats your type - upper              whats your type - lower

The 2013-2015 In Color collection is also still available and these are a more subtle set of colours as shown in the smile and hello cards above. The colours are: Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana. These cards have also used the Decorative Dots and Pretty Print textured impressions embossing folders. (Pretty Print is now retired, but you can still get it in the clearance rack if you’re quick!)

The What’s Your Type? set is a two-step stamp set which means the images are meant to be layered over each other to create the designs or letters for your project. And because the stamps are one of the new photopolymer sets, the images are incredible easy to align. These stamps are clear and even when inked up, you can see through them allowing for perfect placement without the need of a stampa-ma-jig!

Let your imagination run wild with this great new set!

I also mentioned some birthday cards I’ve made this month. I have to wait till they reach their destination before sharing so I don’t spoil the surprise, but they’ll be coming up in a post soon.
