So it’s a Sunday afternoon and Atty is her usual creative self preparing for her next Stampin’ Up! card class here in Brisbane. Being supportive as usual I decide to assist by warming up the punches. It’s therapeutic in a strange kind of way, holding a similar level of fascination to me as bubble wrap! Anyway I digress.
As you can imagine within a few minutes my workspace is looking like a papillion convention. Plain ones, fancy ones, all shapes and sizes. Atty is now also intrigued by my pile of butterflies and cannot help herself, she reaches for the big shot and before I know what’s happened I’m introduced to Beautiful Wing Embosslits (where did they come from??) and she turns out some perfectly cut and embossed little beauties.
Having gone to such an effort I now am wondering what to do with them, easy it’s time to be artistic, so I scatter them on some Whisper White cardstock. To my surprise they actually look quite good, with some little dabs of Multipurpose Liquid Glue I carefully stick them all in place.
Something’s missing, it’s looking a bit bland, so Atty comes to the rescue and hands me a piece of cardstock (Island Indigo) I’m told, which I stick behind the white. That’s really helped frame it, given enough time I’m sure I would have thought of that myself.
Project finished, well not quite, I think it needs a box frame or something and then it may be worthy of the wall! Actually I have a plan, but more on that later…
Enjoy your punching…
The punches Peter used are: Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly and Butterfly (now retired).
