Creative Challenge #punchitup

I made this screen card for the Stampin’ Up! Creative Challenge #punchitup

The challenge was to create a project using at least two of the four punches listed below:

  • Pansy
  • Hearts Border
  • Fun Flower
  • Sweetheart

My project uses the Hearts Border punch along the top of the screen, and the top of the Sweetheart punch is used to create the legs of the screen card.

I’ve used the Butterfly Basics and Choose Happiness stamp sets all inked in Rich Razzleberry. The little butterfly has been punched out with the coordinating Bitty Butterfly punch. The screen card is accented with panels of Bohemian designer series paper featuring the lovely Bermuda Bay tones.

The card is made from an A5 sheet of Whisper White (A5 being half a standard A4 sheet of cardstock). It has then been folded in half and half again, in a zig zag pattern to create the screen. It’s a narrow little card, but I did this to suit the Sweetheart punch for the legs. I’ve seen a lot of similar cards to this using the Decorative Label punch for the legs, and this means you can have a wider card. I’m still aiming to try to make one of those soon 🙂
